Sep 22, 2024 · Trailer build quality has really taken a dump in the last 7-8 yr. They keep adding nice new accessories, and extras, but the basic bones of the trailer construction are terrible in a lot of cases.

Nov 21, 2008 · I realize this doesn't directly answer the question because I have no idea of the poundage ratings of these things, but I can confidently say my Triton 10 foot clamshell needed THREE Caliber trailer lifts installed to handle the weight. Durability has been great with all 3, and my one experience with warranty service was outstanding.

Apr 3, 2020 · In fact, my trailer appears to have the reinforced plates with pre-drilled holes to accept the hinge assemblies that go on the front of the trailer that would accept having a clam shell top. The only difference I can see is the mechanism used to hold the floor of the trailer to the frame seem to be slightly different in design.
