It was attached to a small piece of rock and to be quite honest i think when it was removed from the lfs tank i think he did most of the damage to the byssal foot. i put very little pressure on the foot when i put it on the rock in my set up. It seemed to come off very easily. Clam has opened up and extended. looks very pretty

Crocea Clams!!! Help!!!! | The Reef Tank
Feb 13, 2006 · So I have had this crocea clam for about a month now. I set it up so that it is at an angle on some LR up higher in my tank. Here is what I dont get and cant seem to figure out what it is doing. I have seen the foot and know that it is about 1/4 inch wide. It uses it to grab hold whenever my wavemaker kicks on at the middle powerhead.
