So i had been breastfeeding and then got mastitis twice and i couldnt take breastfeeding anymore so i started exclusively pumping and bottle feeding, but my breastmilk is so chunky and stringy i thought it was just the mastitis but it doesnt seem to be changing.

Feb 10, 2012 · bah. I have a box of those little horizon chocolate milk boxes which I like to drink every once in a while. I just grabbed one to drink and took a sip and it was all nasty and chunky. I spit it out and then puked so I don't think I have to worry about getting sick from it but don't know if I'll ever be able to drink chocolate milk again..

Like others said don't shake breakstmilk!! Did you find the lumps in the cold milk or warm milk? If it was in the cold, it could just be separated fat and should go away when you warm it up. And I'd be careful combine milk from different pumping sessions. Adding new/ warm milk to cold milk will cause the cold milk warm up and that *may* cause ...

Chunky white spit up? - The Bump
If it is "chunky" like that it means the breast milk has mixed with the stomach acid. So it is coming back up from the stomach rather than when they spit up immediately after eating when the milk hasnt reached the stomach yet. Not a big deal...its normal.

Is Whole milk clumpy? — The Bump
If so that is nasty! I bought whole milk at costco and the sell by date was Nov 5th. But it was clumpy. Is that just the fats in it?
