Phaethon (/ ˈfeɪ.əθən /; Ancient Greek: Φαέθων, romanized: Phaéthōn, lit. 'shiner', pronounced [pʰa.é.tʰɔːn]), also spelled Phaëthon, is the son of the Oceanid Clymene and the sun god Helios in Greek mythology.
