I dont know if that applies to cav as i dont play much of her cav's luision is the only gun which downs with a headshot. in regards to OP's question, the person might have already been damaged before and died due to that.

wtf ? really ? because im always getting cav's footprints before the new update :/ Her silent step removes her footprints, but all defenders can do it as long as they keep crouched, so the best way to go with Caveira if you don't want to be detected is to use her gadget and when running out just crouch until recharge and repeat, and so she is 100% immune to Jackal
