Carnotaurus (/ ˌkɑːrnoʊˈtɔːrəs /; lit. 'meat bull') is a genus of theropod dinosaur that lived in South America during the Late Cretaceous period, probably sometime between 72 and 69 million years ago. The only species is Carnotaurus sastrei.
