Nov 1, 2024 · This, plus the change of the transfer portal calendar. I’ve seen multiple suggestions from lat January after bowls so players can be with new teams for spring practice but this has issues with 2nd semesters (actual school) start dates. Or, just one transfer portal date on May but then new players miss out on spring practice.

Nov 1, 2024 · I’ll be disappointed if they go to the portal for another QB.. the room is healthy, let’s get behind one of Angeli, Carr, Minchey. The RB room would be filthy if they all stay but the portal will be bananas this year & Price/Williams could be starters in most programs.. and Love isn’t losing his spot. The OL will be even better..

Dec 6, 2022 · I know you are squarely focusing on the DL here, but they have four incoming transfers, and all were on campus before announcing their commitment. Recruiting is 50/50. Half we know, half we don’t. We had one known DL target on campus last weekend, and a mystery one. They are putting in effort.

Nov 1, 2024 · If the staff isn’t confident that someone on the roster can win the title at QB, you gotta portal. Too many guys returning to waste a year developing growing pains with someone. I know we need to develop someone but it’s on the coaches for not getting CJ or Kenny more live reps this year. We need a proven commodity. The game has changed.

Nov 1, 2024 · But your path to getting plug and play guys is to find a way to overpay for some of them. Getting a couple guys that will get drafted rounds 5-7. If you’re waiting until someone hits the portal, it’s probably too late. Tbh I’m much more bummed about not being seriously in the running for WRs like Singleton, Concepcion, Branch, etc.
