Chances are you will have a code for cam/crank sync (P0016) - ideally you need to have access to a DRBIII service tool to properly set the cam/crank variance and initiate the relearn procedure. A dealer can do this for you, for a fee of course.

Jan 21, 2011 · Okay yes I put a Comp Cam in my old 4.0 and yes there was a difference in torque and low end power, but it came at a cost. The higher valve lift caused the amount of vacuum from the engine to reduce the braking power of my Jeep substantially. I eventually had to add a vacuum reservoir to help stop the Jeep.
