The West Shore ESD Career and Technical Education (CTE) program was established in 1989 by the Mason-Lake ISD, and has been providing industry relevant CTE courses ever since.

CTE provides secondary and postsecondary students with the academic and technical skills and knowledge needed to succeed in Michigan’s current, and future, workforce.

West Shore Educational Service District offers ten Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs: These courses are offered to grades 11 and 12 students in Mason, Lake, Manistee and Oceana counties and most articulate college credit to WSCC and Ferris State University.

CTE programs are a great way to connect what you learn in the classroom to real-world opportunities that include project learning, job shadowing, and paid internships. High school sophomores, juniors, and seniors can explore exciting and rewarding careers at our Career and Technical Centers (CTC) while earning certifications and college credits.
