Aug 27, 2006 · What color is the best match for CSX YN3 Blue? I’ve always thought it looked very close to C&O Enchantment Blue. In fact that paint scheme reminds me of their yellow-nosed GP30’s, GP/SD35’s and SD40’s during the early Sixties.

The CSX Yn3b is the current CSX livery used by CSX Transportation since 2011. This livery has been included in Train Sim World since its release in March 2017. The livery features a blue locomotive with a yellow nose.

Both the bore and stroke were increased to produce the same 4400 horsepower as the older 7FDL16 16-cylinder engine. The new engine drives an alternator producing AC current that is rectified to DC current. On the ES44DC, this powers the traction motors. On the ES44AC, the DC current is “chopped” back into AC to power the traction motors.
