Jul 29, 2023 · MSI center is nice to have so you don’t have to go into bios every time. CPU-Z is a real program there to look at your CPU specs, that’s just an MSI skinned version. Same with AIDA64, a real program with MSI skin. Not too sure about the Realtek, but seems nice to have.

Go get your Intel drivers from Intel. MSI drivers are always outdated. Only use MSI center for programs that are MSI programs. It caused so many problems. Plus MSI does not know the correct install order for the programs like Intel does and can kill your system and make it where you have to go a bios flash back just to get it running again.

May 31, 2022 · PCI-E 3.0 is 8 GT/s while 4.0 is 16 GT/s. You will see 8 GT/s maximum because the board is not really a PCI-E 4.0 board. The bug is that the CPU-Z says it is, but it's not. It's not even CPU-Z fault, it's the MSI BIOS reporting it wrong.

Aug 27, 2020 · A weird problem I ran into while tooling around with my new mobo. I installed Ryzen Master and CPU-Z just to verify a few things. Note that I don’t try to run these two programs at the same time. When I try to open CPU-Z the app freezes at 70% where it says it’s loading the sensors. A PC reboot fixes this.

But I wasn't paying attention and it installed a bunch of bloatware including Norton, an always running MSI background process, an out of date version of CPU-Z, systray apps, etc...

Now having all msi components, including the s280 aio. Meg ace motherboard. The gpu. The psu. All msi brand. So center offers me full control of every peice.
