
CP3 Gear Install / Torque Spec? - DuramaxDiesels.com
Dec 11, 2022 · Man, that gear was stuck on the stock pump! Had to use a puller and heat before it finally let go. Given how seriously it was installed on the stock CP3, and the lack of a drive key, I am thinking it needs to be some sort of interference fit to keep from slipping on the shaft. But I can't find an install procedure for the life of me.

Dec 17, 2009 · It is a PITA... alternator bracket, a/c pump bracket, y-bridge, coolant cross over, just to get to 4 god damn bolts. That was the first project I ever attempted by myself and somehow some way it went back together fine except the oring to that black coolant tube under the thermostat housing pinched and leaked coolant so be careful

Feb 25, 2013 · does anyone know what an expected lifespan of a cp3 pump should/could be? i have what I call a small surge at idle. i have read where the most common problem/solution is a fuel pressure regulator? well my truck has 200,000 miles on it, and a fuel regulator is approx. $180. well i'm thinking that if a new cp3 comes with a regulator already on it ...

Oct 1, 2018 · S&S did say that if i have a fuel restriction on the return side of the system, there is a weep hole in the pump that will leak. I modified the supply side of the fuel system, I have a fass 150 adjustable lift pump, so its the pump only, it is a 1/2 inch suction line to the factory sending unit to a quick connect adapter to 1/2 '' fuel hose.

Nov 11, 2015 · I'm looking at upgrading my CP3 pump now and I'm exploring my options. There seems to be two different routes to go; You either go with a stroker pump or dual pumps. The stroker pumps seems to satisfy my need for fuel but my concern is the reliability of them. As an engineer the dual pump system seems to be the way to go for reliability.

May 15, 2013 · The lift pump im going to be running is 200gph at 8-9 psi. I know my little brother had his front seal on the cp3 blow out with an airdog 150. I think it had more to do with the fact he had welded his big return manifold banjo bolt welded shut and return fuel backed up and created pressure because it had no where to go.

May 7, 2016 · Bearing in mind that it's a brand new priming pump and that there's no problems with the lines back to tank, and no air intake in the line to the pump. I was wondering if there's a problem with the cp3 pump or fuel pressure regulator maybe, as I can take the delivery line off to the cp3, put my thumb over it, and there's no suction at all.

Feb 27, 2011 · I have a problem and need some help. I have a 2002 LB7 I bought about 2 months ago. I have been getting trouble codes and working things off as I can. So far I have replaced all (8) injectors and the vacuum pump. I was getting a P0193 code and then my water pump started leaking. I tore it all apart and changed out the CP3 pump and the water pump.
