In the Value data box, type 1 if the drive is a CD-R drive or 2 if it is a CD-RW drive. Click OK , and then close Registry Editor. O.k. the part that's underlined and asterisked (probably not a word, but you get the point) is what is really confusing, as there isn't anything listed under 'Drives' in that subsection of the Registry Editor.
