Nov 25, 2009 · Everything went fine, but when I turn the key off and back on again, the #5 injector trim file keeps on changing to a different file # on ET. I thought maybe the first time it didn't save it, so I tried it many times. I can change it, and go into different windows in ET, and then back to the "injector trim file calibration" window and its all good.

May 24, 2013 · How many of you truck owners out there, with C15 / C16 / 3406E engines, have replaced the injector seals, only to have them go bad again within 50,000 miles? It is a real problem with those engines, especially with Cat re-manufactured heads. I have a permanent repair for the problem. Contact me with any questions.

Oct 27, 2010 · Hey guys, I had to change an injector in one of the company trucks the other day and with it came a cd with what seems like all possible c-15 injector codes so I could flash the computer with the new reman code. Now I did have the confirmation code on the injector itself which was needed to get the new calibration code to upload.

Jun 16, 2013 · Last week, I was asked to machine the injector seats on a Cat C15 Twin turbo Accert engine. The trucker was experiencing an injector miss under heavy load. When he would shift down & back off on the throttle, the miss would go away. I found that the injector seats were machined very inaccurate from new.

Feb 26, 2015 · Always remove the fuel lines from the front and rear of the head to let it drain out. When you pull the injectors, look for a clean "seat" mark at the bottom of each one. Combustion in the fuel or corroded seats is not as common as thought. I've had 15 E and C15's and never had injector seat issues. I'd say you just have a injector acting stupid.

Apr 17, 2013 · Rite in the book to use green retaining compound. Book says cover orings. A smear all over the dam things top to bottom and seat em with a 3/4" rod welded to a cut-off injector tip. Tip (of mine)... Seat them one at a time til it sounds dead seat from hammer, then EMMEDIATELY install and torq injector.

Dec 24, 2010 · I have a 1999 pete with 3406e c15. Nozzel blew off couple weeks ago new injector and lots of money latter it was back on the road. I know when ever you put one in you should put in all six. However i have a wrecked truck that i use for parts that i had just put six new injectors in before it wrecked. And they are the same engine.

Aug 31, 2024 · I have an injector fitted on one RIG and the engine seems to be very low on Horsepower, i suspect that it has larger issues than injectors as it is only running at 18 PSI and when load is introduced it just pulls it down. so Injectors fitted currently are 253-0616 / 10R 3265.
