Biometrics appointment- means they are checking your criminal background because since your first appointemnt, you could have done something criminal.

Jun 7, 2024 · This will be your first C08 EAD, so mark this as Initial (no filing fee!), but further down in the application where it asks if you've previously applied for work authorization, say "Yes." And if you already have a Social Security #, check "No" for requesting one and list your SS# in the application.

Dec 6, 2020 · I am looking to renew my EAD card. It looks like a lot has changed since the last time I applied for renewal of my EAD. My renewal category is C08 on I-765 and in the filling instructions, USCIS has clearly mentioned that for my category they will ask for biometric fingerprints. It wasn't the case previously 2 times.

I'm a truck driver and I need to get the Hazmat endorsement but the category C08 is not eligible, the A12 is one of the category that they accept.
