Kegerator pouring lots of foam - Homebrew Talk
Jul 9, 2019 · I have a “new” kegerator that I got a few weeks ago from a yard sale site. I replaced the beer line (with a 10 foot line), the C02 tank and the crappy C02 regulator it came with. Got a keg of Fat Tire tonight and let it sit in the kegerator for about an hour after I …
O2 Regulator vs C02 Regulator - Homebrew Talk
Dec 19, 2015 · The O2 reg does not fit a standard sized C02 tank, it has a fitting meant for an O2 tank. Since my new tank is a repurposed O2 tank (now filled with CO2),a CO2 reg will not fit the repurposed O2 Tank, only a O2 reg will. From what I've been reading, i should be fine, however at some point i may want to find an adaptor if I want to use an actual CO2 reg on a repurposed …
Propane Tank for CO2? - Homebrew Talk
Feb 6, 2009 · Propane tanks are not made to hold the same pressures that CO2 cylinders are. Propane tanks are welded tanks. CO2 cylinders are seamless tanks. CO2 tanks are built to hold pressures over 1600 PSI. Propane tanks are built to hold at a maximum of 250 psi. The normal operating pressure for a CO2 cylinder at 70°F is 800 psi. I guess I answered my own question...

Why is my C02 Regulator freezing up? - Homebrew Talk
May 23, 2008 · When CO2 escapes from the tank, it gets very cold. Dump it fast enough and you can easily sheet the tank in ice in a matter of a minute or two. If your regulator is freezing up my first guess would be to look for a huge leak, which would also explain the noises.

CO2 tank tare weight - Homebrew Talk
Mar 21, 2008 · Don't blast me, I searched for this. My CO2 tank has a "TW 25-9 C02" stamped on the side. Is this 25lbs 9oz or is the -9 just something else? Second question, assuming the tar weight is just 25 (and not 25-9) and the tank weighs 31lbs, that means I …
What should a Co2 tank gauge read when full? - Homebrew Talk
Oct 12, 2009 · that red section is about useless. if you are in the red, you are out of liquid CO2, and are running on what vapor is left in the tank. the best way to know what is left is to weigh your empty tank, and check your tank now and then. Co2 will vary with temperature. my tank in the fridge reads 600PSI (normal for 36*) and should read around 830PSI at room temperature that …
