Burg Castle (German: Schloss Burg), located in Burg an der Wupper (Solingen), is the largest reconstructed castle in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany and a popular tourist attraction. Its early history is closely connected to the rise of the Duchy of Berg.

The defiant ancestral castle of the knightly family of Berg is always worth a visit. The building ensemble is located about 100 meters above the Wuppen and offers spectacular views in different directions; the ascent to the castle by cable car - across the river - has almost a "cult character" (...even (my) small dog is allowed to ride).
