Bumbo is a passive item added in The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth. Spawns a familiar which follows Isaac and picks up any nearby coins. Bumbo changes level based on the amount of coins it's collected.

Spawns a beggar familiar which picks up any nearby coins, leveling up after collecting several coins. At level 2, Bumbo gains a body. At level 3, it begins to fire tears. At level 4, Bumbo follows enemies and gains contact damage.

Jan 17, 2022 · Super bum as a transformation has always been strange and extremely rare in my experience. I understand he drops double rewards and can take in all pickups apart from bombs but his uses seem minimal. i’ve only ever achieved it once when actively going for it, it realistically had no impact on the run itself, and it doesnt have an unlock tied to it.

Jul 22, 2016 · Bumbo is an interesting item, being basically a combination of ball of bandages / cube of meat and bum friend. I only really noticed how good he was when I did the challenge "Brains!", as he managed to single handedly carry me to ??? in the chest, and beat him.
