Brahma Rooster & Smaller Hens??? - BackYard Chickens
Apr 17, 2021 · I have a light Brahma cockerel. His name is Monster for a reason. I believe he’s 7 months old. We got his egg from a breeder so he’s pretty big. Luckily I also have light Brahma hens. He mostly breeds them and my marans. I have seen him try to grab at my bantams when they free range together but he quickly realizes he’s too big.
Brahma Hens with no Feather Feet? - BackYard Chickens
Nov 3, 2011 · About 6 weeks ago I purchased 6 buff Brahma hens and a rooster, along with a few others. The rooster has some feathers on his feet but the hens have none whatsoever. They recently started laying and I was just wondering if they might get them later? Will their chicks have feather feet if the hens never get them? Thanks, Laura

He was very good, treating the hens well, keeping the roosters in line, *presumably* an excellent lookout. Unfortunately, the hens never laid any eggs in their lives. Maybe a poor constitution?
Is a Brahma rooster okay to put with a mixed flock?
Aug 1, 2022 · I have two dark brahma hens, one light brahma hen, and a light brahma rooster, all about a year old. I bought them all together a couple weeks ago, but the rooster needs more hens, which now I cannot find any more brahma hens around me. He is making the hens back raw, even with the saddle on one, he's tearing the feathers off her wing.

May 15, 2017 · The other thing I love is how these little girls lay. Bantam hens are the bomb, and Brahma bantams are quite respectable layers. I have four 9-month old pullets and I am collecting 18+ eggs per week, sometimes 21 per week, and they are quite large for bantam eggs.
Why Are My Brahmas Not Laying? 18 Months Old
Feb 22, 2019 · So I have 9 Brahma hens and a lovely Brahma rooster plus some other mixed breeds, total of 12 hens and a rooster. And NOBODY is laying hardly at all. I get maybe 7 eggs a week if I'm lucky. I've killed or relocated all the snakes that have come into their area and have not seen rats in the past 6 months.

Apr 23, 2010 · I have 7 Light Brahmas. They are 22 weeks old. Their combs are only now starting to turn red. I have been tired of waiting for eggs so I went on line and looked up what their laying timetable is and they are one of the latest layers, some laying as late as 25 to 28 weeks.
