Once on a time there was a Little Old Woman who lived in a Shoe. This shoe stood near a great forest, and was so large that it served as a house for the Old Lady and all her children, of which she had so many that she did not know what to do with them.

A boot-shaped house hidden deep within some woods in the United Kingdom was discovered by urban explorers, with parallels to the nursery rhyme about the old woman who lived in a shoe.

Completed in January 2017, designed by Huntsville artist and builder Dan Phillips (1945-2021), the Cowboy Boot House is 35 feet tall. It's made mostly of recycled and donated material, with odd junk added in for artistic whimsy.
