Also, like the bolter round, the RPG is a two-stage firing mechanism. When an RPG is fired, there is an initial "kicker" charge, just like in a bolter round, that propels the warhead from the launcher.

The Astartes standard bolter is the Godwyn pattern, which is specifically .75 cal. The heavy bolter is .998. I know that it says "the ones for humans are smaller", but all the sources I've seen for both say they're both .75 cal. Good ole GW.

Apr 30, 2020 · Autocannon is a weird thing. but post-heresy it is just easier to make shells for it than for heavy bolter (pre-heresy, autocannos shot basically even bigger bolter shells, now just solid slug). Even in-universe Autocannon is either being called tactically obsolete or some champion that it has its uses.
