As mentioned above by lexm, put a sample in the microwave oven for 15-30 seconds or so. A microwave operates at a frequency very close to the 2.4ghz used in our radios.

Jul 23, 2011 · I ordered some black, took about 2 weeks to arrive. it is similar to profilm/oracover to use, sticks and shrinks well and appears to have similar similar strength, I used about 110c to tack it, and progressively up to 150c to shrink, you can certainly get a taught covering at about 135c using 150c to get those awkward wrinkles out.

At the time, I didn't have any heat shrink tubing, and the PVC tubing that came with the Dean's connectors wouldn't fit over the wire jacket. So now I have several wires with uninsulated connectors on them. (Okay, I was impatient. Mea culpa.)

Jun 11, 2002 · I've used monocote. Just alittle heat will hold a short length of covering in a "loop". Shrink it around the "business ends of the battery, leaving the "barrel" open to air. Eay to trim excess, tough stuff too, and lighter than most heat srink products. I also use this to secure sevo connections in covered wings, just alittle security.
