I own 5 remington pumps, 2 Browning BPS pumps, 2 Winchester Pumps, and I've shot ducks with all of them and like and dislike features on all of them.

Sep 23, 2007 · Get a Remington 870 Classic Trap if you MUST shoot a pump. I personally recommend the 1100 Classic Trap as a good entry level trap gun. Recoil is light, they will not toss empties on the shooter next to you, and they are top grade firearms. If you want a Browning trap gun, get the XT O/U. This is one of the best values on the market today.

Dec 7, 2023 · The older designs in the group with the tilting bolts are indisputably smoother. That said, part of pump practicality is economy. I think the 870 best bridges the gap between elegance & practicality. There may be some stamped mousetrap mechanisms on the inside, but a TB or TC with high grade wood & deep blue is still eye-catching.

Jul 3, 2024 · The interesting thing with any pump shotgun and LE. Lots and lots of accidental discharges going back many decades. Roofs of police cars blasted when they were upright in racks, etc. etc. Always problems making them safe, making them "car ready", chamber empty, uncocked. Confusion thinking the chamber is empty.

Jan 4, 2010 · Cheap Wal-Mart grease for wheel bearings seems to work great form semi auto pistols to pump shotguns and even ar-15 its the same as what James Yeager uses for ar-15 lube see in this video And for the detail lube stuff I use Rem Oil or some thing similar.
