Positive and Negatives of KO No BS Beaver Traps?
The Bridger is not a beaver trap, IMO. I handled one of his beaver traps down at Manchester, and set in on my knee. I rate it, without having used one yet, as stronger than the MB 750, and easier to set than the CDR 7.5 . They are all good traps. Kendall's is the heaviest, if you need the weight. I would use them .

Nov 15, 2024 · I’ve never lost a beaver with 14 gauge wire but 11 gauge is more insurance. Outside of that, arthritis keeps me from pushing springs, so I’ve gone to snares. Look up Dale Billingsley for his use of foot holds and extension cable or chain.

Beaver pan tension - Trapperman Forums
Jan 20, 2020 · Years ago, I grabbed a couple of traps and gear to put in a couple of beaver sets. I set up the drowner wires, weights, etc. and went to set the trap and found that the pan was stuck. I didn't have a screwdriver with me, and since my truck was a considerable distance away, I just worked the pan back and forth till it had at least some give.
Beaver, pan tension - Trapperman Forums
Feb 20, 2024 · This discussion made me go check my beaver traps. Surprisingly, I have no set pan tension. Some are about 3-4 pounds and some are pretty floppy. Looking at my traps I noticed that I subconsciously set the pan tension in accordance with the height between the top of the jaw and the pan.

Jun 2, 2023 · I’m new to the forum and completely green to trapping. I’ve been trying to work on removing some nuisance beavers over the past month by hunting them. So far I’ve only killed a male and a female. I don’t know how many there are. I’ve located a lodge and a run that is a decent distance from...
Otter trapping tips - Trapperman Forums
Dec 14, 2024 · If I am beaver trapping I can usually fill that in beaver traps, plus I always gang set when I trapped for otter because they travel in groups. And I could overfill my limit in one check, so I pretty much quit setting for them. Toilets are an excellent set but other than that I always said the best otter set was a good beaver set.
