BN 2100 is an EMD GP38-2 built in November 1974 and part of a group numbered 2088-2109. Of these, the 2097-2101 were first assigned to Auburn, WA for maintenance. I first saw the 2100 on 12-11-74 leading the Everett Turn with 2100/9726 (GP38-2/F7A) out of Auburn, WA at 1238 am.

First thing is the "traditional" BN paint scheme. Including GP40M's, about 10 units in this program shipped from Boise in this scheme. Less obvious but more significant is the fact that as built, the GP30 had the rear traction motor plenum on the right or engineers side of the locomotive.
