I personally use the Gum Creek Customs mountable solution and it works fantastic but I don't know if your state legislation requires the handgun to be 100% concealed at all times.

I figure I can find something for the rear underfloor area and behind the side panel, rear storage cubby's. But more looking for a lockable compartment or safe that fits in the front area, preferably reachable from driver seat.

It looks like a locking cover that goes over the door locket, or replaces the door pocket? Looking at the photo you can see a diagonal break in the unit at the top left and bottom right but not really sure.
