Feb 3, 2019 · The only rifle that Nelson made the modification on is a Winchester JW92 Commemorative. The B92 in .44 mag can shoot .44 spcl. If memory serves me the B92’s were only in .44 mag & .357 mag, but you seem to be the “authority” on the subject so I will bow to your expertise on whether there is a Browning 92 in .44-40 made.

Nov 29, 2010 · THe B92 is the best 92 ever made. It's as close to the original Winchester 92 style action as you can get without all the silly add-on lawyer parts. It's the best of the old and new, old style action in modern steel. That said you may want to do some research. Browning did some of those in a 1 in 38" twist.

Jan 22, 2017 · Looking for some advise, before trying to take it apart. I recently had a B92 carbine hard chromed for my wife to use next year when she joins us on the firing line. We just got the gun back from Outlaw Gambler and it is gorgeous, except for the scratched up stock and forearm.

Jul 19, 2020 · I had a B92 .357 for a few years, but sold it in '06 to somebody on here and used the money to buy two Rossi '92 .357's. The Browning absolutely would not feed anything shorter than a full-length .357. - .38 cases would work, but I had to use a heavier (longer) bullet and seat it out to the same OAL as a loaded .357 cartridge.

Jul 10, 2005 · My Shilen barrel is a 6 groove right twist and one of the other two 44's is an 8 groove left and the other is a 10 groove right. The "bad barrel" is a 12 groove right. Seems Miruko couldn't make up their mind on the 44's. Rate of twist also varies among the 3. The Shilen is 1 in 18, one B92 is 1 in 38 and the other is 1 in 22.

May 12, 2022 · The B92’s in 44 mag are fitted with shallow multi groove rifling that is similar to Marlin’s microgroove rifling. On top of this most cast bullet moulds made by the large mould manufacturers cater for pistol users, ie bullets normally drop at 0.430”.

Jan 17, 2014 · JFE, my go-to bullet is the Keith, and one of the first things I did to this B92 was to cut the stop on the lifter back to allow the Keith in a mag case to feed. I would definitely specify the chamber to be Keith and 305 WFN friendly; if it couldn't handle both I'd go with the Keith.

Apr 1, 2022 · The Browning 92's are great lever guns. Many were used by the top shooters for many years. Although Evil Roy, San Juan, China Camp, Durango Kid, were/are all great guys I don't want their worn out guns.
