Oct 12, 2013 · I mean no disrespect, but why swap out a 2.7 for the VR6? I looked into it myself and they have to be built to make anything more than a 2.7. And with the 2.7 you just need rods for massive power. The only thing I can think of is more room to work on the sides.

Feb 22, 2019 · Find a 2002-2003 Audi B6 3.0 manual as a donor. That will give you the entire quattro drivetrain. Buy a VR6 and adapter plate, and bolt to your quattro swapped car.

May 5, 2022 · Ian swapped the inline-four for a 3.6 L VR6 from a R36 Passat B6 wagon producing 300 hp and 266 lb-ft. He also replaced the factory FWD drivetrain for an AWD Quattro drivetrain from a TT with a 3.2 L VR6. He kept the stock DQ250 transmission but will eventually swap to a manual transmission.

I have everything required for the swap, less intake manifold. You can purchase a CTS intake which will fit in all chassis.

Jan 1, 2006 · honestly your best bet is the 2.8 93-99 12v vr6. out of a passat/jetta or GTi. They are getting to be pretty cheap full swaps, you can get a full swap or donar car for 500 if you look. the rest of the management, tranny, turbo etc will be the expensive part. If you want a VR6 to do the swap talk to Clint. He can get his hands on a few for you.
