Nov 15, 2022 · Again, all of that is fine and I totally love this game and welcome more content for it, but with all of this new capacity to achieve things it would be nice if there was more stuff to achieve. This could be in this game, or it could be in astroneer 2, but there is the fear that a sequel would be either too much of the same, or too much different.

Jun 12, 2023 · I think Astroneer 2 should start with the step through the alien portal. You come to a new Star system with like 7 Planets and additional moons. But one of this Planet should be a class M Planet, habitable. So you can build Towns and have traveling people. What ever, but you are right, I have played 12 Games now and feel a bit boring ^^

Nov 16, 2024 · You can't start directly in the DLC, you need to first complete the quest "A Core Concept". (If you have a save where you already did this, you won't need to activate a core) This mission requires you to activate a planet's/moon's core/Gateway Engine.

Jul 4, 2024 · i'd love to see astroneer 2 some day. i love this game, but it's got a lot of bad technical issues, and it's clear they decided they wanted to have a story after the game was already 90% complete... would love to see what they could do, now that they know what they wanna do with the game.

Nov 14, 2024 · Basic Astroneer is still fun to come back to for a few hours once or twice a year. It hasn't changed much in a year or two, but it still provides a mixture of gameplay that I haven't found anywhere else. It's cozy in that sense. I don't think I will ever touch the DLC again, after we finally slog through this initial run of it.
