Raven Kindred North (RKN) is one of the oldest traditional Asatru kindreds on the East Coast. Our members are from all over the New England area and enjoy the camaraderie of our monthly gatherings. RKN has always prided it self on teaching the tenets of Asatru through our actions.

The ÁSA was initially proposed at a meeting of North American Ásatrúar and specialists in Norse history and mythology in 2017.

There is a history of political controversy within organized US Ásatrú, mostly surrounding the question of how to deal with such adherents as place themselves in a context of the far right and white supremacy, notably resulting in the fragmentation of the Asatru Free Assembly in 1986.

Norse paganism, such as Asatru, has a small yet devoted band of followers in the 21st century. One well-established modern expression of the ancient Scandinavian religion is “Asatru.” Some prefer the terms “Odinism” or “Heathenism,” yet the beliefs and worldview are largely the same.
