Argon bottle standing or on its side? - Miller Welding Discussion …
Feb 28, 2017 · Obviously welding out of a pickup bed is less desirable that off a flatbed, but I haven't got around to building a flatbed yet. I am trying to organize the space and I'm wondering if I can get input on whether or not an argon bottle can be laid on its side when used or if it has to be upright. Can Argon Gas Bottles Be Stored Horizontal
Can our Argon welding gas bottles be stored horizontally? Our new supplier of E size bottles dropped off their first one on Friday. Bottom of the bottle argon - Miller Welding Discussion Forums
Mar 7, 2005 · The only logical explanation is the new tank was full of air at atmospheric presure and compressed when argon was added.Since argon is heavyer than air,the air would be at the top.AS the tank emptys the air would move to the bottom and if that is where the tank draws from, say 3" from bottom, you would get air after the argon level drops below 3".
