They are an insidious race of techno-organic insectoids led by their queen, who seek to conquer the Lylat system and eventually the universe. The Aparoids come in many forms and varieties, but all appear as bio-mechanical insects with offensive capabilities.

Aparoids are a race of insect-like creatures that are part-machine, part-life form. From minor enemy units, to major bosses, they serve as the main antagonists in "Star Fox: Assault".

The Aparoid Queen is the main antagonist of the 2005 third-person shooter game Star Fox: Assault. She is the hive mind, leader, and center of the Aparoid race, who seeks to assimilate all life forms to become one with her hive, believing that only by assimilating living beings can she and her species evolve throughout the galaxy.
