I imagine when I find the right file(s), I'll be able to use Select-String to extract the times and dates of when scans began and ended. I see a folder called "Scans>History>Results" but the files in this folder are not readable in plain text.

Jul 21, 2023 · I think these scans happen when the computer is being idle for a couple of minutes, i.e. the user didn't use the mouse or the keyboard. Be AFK or just read a long text on the screen without scrolling it for a bit, and it starts. Also, many people are not even aware of the issue, especially if they use SSD and not HDD.

Mar 4, 2023 · The documentation indicates the value is ignored when you initiate scans manually. (In the trace text file "UfsFileScan" means "Manual" scan.) It means the setting will work for Scheduled full scans. Please try that.
