Anti-C, anti-e auto-antibody or mimicking antibody
Feb 9, 2018 · Anti-C and anti-e were identified in our patient and his DAT was 3+positive for IgG without previous transfusion history. His RBCs were typed as R1R2. Therefore, we suspect that auto-anti-C+e were present in his blood. I heard his antibodies could be autoantibodies mimicking anti-C and anti-e.

what is the importance of ruling out little "c" antigen?
Oct 30, 2009 · If a person who is c- is transfused with c+ blood, there is a very high likelihood that they will produce an anti-c. Anti-c is amongst the three most common causes of clinically significant haemolytic disease of the newborn/foetus. Passive Anti-C due to recent RhIG administration
Jan 27, 2020 · In my experience, it is usually less than one month from the last RhIG dose. After it has been more than about 30 days, we usually no longer detect the Anti-C, only the Anti-D. I wanted more information in order to develop a policy for when we can call it Passive Anti-C and when we need to treat it as a potential alloantibody.
Anti-C in C pos patient with strong e type - PathLabTalk
Aug 5, 2023 · What I was saying is that anti-Ce, per se, will only react with red cells where both the C and e antigens are derived from the same Rh haplotype (such as DCe), but, unless there is an element of monospecific anti-C present, the anti-Ce will not react with, for example, red cells that are from an individual with the Rh genotype of DCE/dce, as ...

Apr 28, 2010 · Well, with the caveat that all females under 60 who have anti-E and are c- should be given c- blood (because anti-D, anti-c and anti-K usually cause the most severe and most common HDN), as well as those patients you mention, then yes, I would not be too concerned about giving other c- patients with anti-E, c+ blood.
Antibody Rule-outs - Immunohematology Reference Laboratories
Mar 27, 2006 · But gel is a pretty sensitive method. It is tough to rule out anti-E and anti-C in the presence of anti-D with a double dose cell, but any D negative unit is 99+% likely to be negative for C and E as well, so if you miss it the odds are good you will do no harm.
