Dec 28, 2017 · Yes it will be Amitriptyline anticholinergic effects you have experienced. If you read back on a blog i started many months ago you will see i did the same i went from 10 mg to 5 mg then on day 3 awful pain, nausea anxiety, went back to 10 mg and it took me days to get better.

I have left hand side pain which I have found difficult to treat simply with buscopan and paracetamol. This pain was keeping me awake, sometimes all night, and I ended up exhausted. I had used amitriptyline in the past for sleep problems so doctor suggested I took a small dose at night if required - generally 10mg.

Has anyone else who uses Amitriptyline experienced problems with excessive sweating ? I was prescribed with this drug to reduce tension style headaches /anxiety - but have noticed I easily and alarmingly how much I sweat since taking it. I only have to engage in moderate exercise and it looks as if I have run a marathon !
