Dec 19, 2023 · A 5800x is a higher tier cpu on am4 which is not as needed since AMD released the 5700x. For all practical purposes, the 5700x is a good cpu for the price if you need 8 cores. The 5600 does the job if you want a lower price. The main difference between am4 and am5, you can upgrade am5 to newer CPUs such as 8000 and maybe 9000.
