The Subaru SVX, also known as the Alcyone SVX in the Japanese market, was a series of cars introduced for the 1992 model year. The SVX, meaning Subaru Vehicle X, was the successor to the Subaru XT , and was offered as a front or all wheel drive coupe.

The 'Subaru Vehicle X' (SVX) followed the XT Coupe as a more luxurious AWD 2-door and was built from 1991-1996. Marketed as the Alcyone in Japan, the model only came to the USA with automatic transmissions.
