Feb 23, 2021 · Aether Gust is incredibly strong. Lots of players just misunderstand the card. Here is how it should read: "If your opponent is playing red or green and taps out, this is instant speed time walk" Blue is different than any other color in that it gets to interact on the stack.

It stalls for control decks to drop lands or use cards like Field of Ruin to shuffle the titan away. Works great with Mystic Sanctuary as well by recurring the gust back over and over.

Jun 16, 2024 · Aether gust or brazen borrower would have the same effect as my axe + torch to get rid of the cavalier before lethal: 2 mana, free the way. A different strategy could be played by using thing in the ice. Haven’t tried it yet, but it could flip on opponents’ turn and then you could grow it with proft’s for lethal while bringing back a phoenix.

Sep 25, 2022 · Aether Gust can probably fill the role you want from Subtlety as a couple copies in the side board but it can’t be run main board the way Subtelty can so just run some other good merfolk or interaction.
