Feb 4, 2024 · This came down to Advan Black or Hogwerkz, and after reading some reviews about Hogwerkz' customer service, I went with Advan Black for the detachable mount, and using a Harley OEM chopped pak, which I just ordered at the dealer on Saturday. Pre painted Gunship Gray, with black hardware & the lock will work with my bikes key.

Mar 14, 2010 · Fit and finish is a different story. The edges on the plastic are harsh and sharp making paint around the edge look like crap. Fitting also doesn't line up 100% as well within 1 day of install a glove gear broke. I emailed Advan Black and after a lengthy process (before covid) All i got was a new glove box and my fit and finish was ignored.

Jan 2, 2017 · Knowing what I know now I would have opted to pay the additional $307 for OEM. King tour pack is in my future. I will order through Boardtracker and go with OEM. $965 with all parts, backrest, lock set and tether. $799 Advan Black all parts included.

Sep 27, 2019 · I a also impressed with my Advanblack Tour-pak. I ordered the chopped in Industrial Gray Denim with the small pad, as well as the quick disconnect rack. I believe I had it 10 days later. Install was a breeze, though my rear mounts were rather tight, but I simply rotated the black plastic mount (they're egg shaped) and it went on a little easier.

Aug 17, 2022 · Tour pack quality... It is definitely more flimsy than an HD tour pack. The cord that keeps the tour pack from flopping open is too long and lets the lid flap open too far. And the latch doesn't operate as smoothly as HD. Also, the hinge color options were chrome and black, the "hinges" on my saddlebags are color matched.

Feb 23, 2017 · I bought the advan black velocity red with speaker pods. Color match is perfect, but the vent boxes are warped and the vent flap will not close all the way into them on either side. There was also a lot of overspray on the interior which is visible. I have a 16RGS, the older lowers were a different style, perhaps their vents work better.

Jan 15, 2019 · I like my advan black lowers. They look the same as the H.D. ones and serve the same purpose. Most of the paint match I have seen looks really good. Mine was a tad off on the black quartz though. Still a good by for the money.
