May 4, 2023 · Pricing was just announced on the Type S today with reservations going active May 11th on their website, cars are set to arrive on the lot sometime beginning or mid June, based on Acura. I saw the same information - my friend was a bit surprised at the $52K price tag.

Well after over a year of Si ownership, I finally got around to driving the CSX Type S - one with gorgeous taffeta white paint (though less lustrous than the TSX's metallic white). Driving this thing instantly reminded me of what my stock Si had driven like - which is stunningly different than how mine drives today.

I've contacted two Acura dealerships in my town about their 2001 Acura CL 3.2s in stock and this model’s well-known, defective transmission problem. Both dealerships have stated that their 2001 Acura CL 3.2s have new transmissions.

The TL's - 258 HP VS the Accord's 244. They are basically the same engine - the TL has slightly larger diameter pistons (larger displacement) - thats why it is a 3.2L VS the Accord's 3.0L. It is true that this is not much of a difference in power, but you have to consider that these are the new SAE power ratings.

Acura sales are terrible in general and no other brand has the transmission issues they have. Acura may not survive if this continues and they only have themselves to blame. Butt ugly designs, the worst transmissions and a dismissive national customer "care" division. The Car Show on Speed Channel ripped Acura a couple of weeks ago.
