This document provides 100-year time horizon global warming potential (GWP) values from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). The table below is adapted from the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report, 2020 (AR6).i.

During the sixth assessment cycle ( October 2015 to July 2023) the IPCC produced the Sixth Assessment Report (AR6) with contributions by its three Working Groups and a Synthesis Report, three Special Reports, and a refinement to its latest Methodology Report.

These metrics use this relationship to calculate the CO 2 emissions or removals that would result in roughly the same temperature change as a sustained change in the rate of SLCF emissions (CGTP) over a given time period, or as a varying time series of CH 4 emissions (GWP*).
