Jun 29, 2024 · Had folks asking about 9mm ARs working with the new item I created. Yep it works. Worked the trigger thru the range of the things capabilities. Some folks with a better trigger finger than I have I'm sure will do better than I do with it. My config was a quick throw together. First time I'd messed with 9mm in AR platform.

Jul 6, 2016 · Unlike a standard ar bolt, the 9mm bolt does not lock in to place. Also the 9mm is a pistol cartridge, so it's designed fro short barrels and to burn it's charge relatively fast. People have to run heavier springs and buffers just to help hold the bolt closed on the AR9s.

May 30, 2018 · My AR 9 (glock mag fed PSA lower homebuild upper) is using a standard milspec charging handle. A buddy of mine w/ a registered FA lower has a 9mm upper using colt mags, he also uses a standard milspec charging handle.

Oct 3, 2022 · JMHO, but If I was building an AR 9, and I did and I had a Scorpion and mags (and I do), I think I'd still rather have an AR9 that took Glock mags vs Scorpion ones. I don't care for the OEM Scorpion mags, they remind me of the plastic translucent ones from Butler Creek and a few other makers of 10/22 mags.

Feb 25, 2018 · Diamond Back AR pattern 9mm takes Glock mags, seems to work with even the Korean ones, has a reasonably good working bolt hold back on the last round. Don't see a lot of them but the one I used a few times worked OK.

Nov 22, 2018 · The 9mm AR was just too funky for me to view as any sort of serious use weapon. Glock made more sense to me unless the 9mm AR was going to be a range gun. Parts commonality was the main thing that attracted me to the 300 and I have been much happier with my 300 than either of the 9mms.
