Dec 9, 2020 · My son and I just started working on our 74 Javelin. Thanks to everyone that has been helping so far get us rolling on this project. The first thing we need to address on the car itself is some rust in the floor/ inner rocker, and concern over the middle rocker panel.

Aug 21, 2010 · The car is a just-purchased (8/16/10) AMC Javelin. It's the SST trim package, 360ci V8, 4Bbl, dual exhaust. It has a 727 Torque-Flite transmission, an inverted-U floor shifter on a full console, power front disc brakes (with dual-piston calipers), and power steering.

Mar 24, 2011 · The car currently has a 343 AMC V8 in it which is not a firebreather, but provides a nice balanced powerplant for the capable Javelin chassis. Mike is trolling for a 401 to build for the car, because AMC power is the only option for this machine.

May 24, 2011 · Nearly the entire car is disassembled, but Scott has big plans for his ’71 Javelin. Future plans include an upgrade to either a T56 or Tex Racing T101A transmission, using a Lakewood blow-proof bell and a Centerforce dual friction clutch.

May 28, 2012 · There should be plans for the plates on here somewhere. Vendors don't sell them, liability issues. For 1" to 1.5" drop 3/8" steel plates work fine, for max drop (nearly 3") I'd use 1/2" plate (won't hurt to use 1/2" for the lower drop either).
