AKG K550 vs Audio-Technica ATH-M50X - What Hi-Fi? Forum
Nov 12, 2014 · My personal feeling is that the Audio Technica have an over-emphasised bass. I tested them recently against Beyer DT770 Pro (250 Ohm), Shure SR940. I ended up with the Shures which are excellent and clean/ neutral / open sounding. I would recommend testing the Beyer and maybe the Shure SR840 in your price bracket (assuming you are only after closed …
Headphones to dragonfly red - What Hi-Fi? Forum
The Grados and the Shure 1840s have no bass. At least not enough to recommend for electronica. I've not heard the Amiron Home but the DT1990 Pro is a great choice. DT1990 Pro or even the DT1770 Pro which is closed back and has more bass. A step down in refinement but still 'fun' is the DT770 Pro. AKG K712 Pro. Underrated and great for electronica.
AKG K702 in the house - What Hi-Fi? Forum
Jun 24, 2010 · Hi everyone. Just picked up a new pair of AKG K702s. [:D] Wow, the sound is incredible. The great thing about headphones is, no room acoustics to mess up the sound. I let them play on repeat for the last 24 hours for run-in, and …
Ifi Zen Dac with Sennheiser HD 25-1, should I upgrade headphones
Jan 9, 2021 · I think I'm going to sell the 600 and 650 now. The 660S is the good parts of the other two combined in one. That being said it's still got the rolled off bass although it's better. Other contenders in the price range would be the AKG K712 Pro and the Beyerdynamic DT1990 Pro. What kind of music do you listen to?

Sep 11, 2021 · Hi to all, I"m looking for an headset amplifier + DAC to be used with my AKG K612Pro (120Ohm). As an input an USB could be enough, considering the Bluetooth as an option, since I'll use my smartphone as source. Device footprint shall be small since I have little space. Budget is around 350€...
Beyerdynamic DT-1770 Pro Around-Ear Stereo Headphone review
Dec 7, 2011 · If you could use an open headphone, the AKG K712 is very good (and the Massdrop K7xx is probably about as good), and the earpads are bigger than the DT1770 or H6, for a much greater comfort. The Philips X2 is excellent - better than the 1770, also with large comfy earpads.
Marshall speakers | What Hi-Fi? Forum
Aug 31, 2014 · Looking over my last 50 headphones, the most neutral out of the box were the Shure 840, the Yamaha MT220, and the AKG K712. The K712 has the best quality sound overall, and very comfortable.
Prefer ASIO4ALL to WASAPI...? | What Hi-Fi? Forum
Jun 10, 2009 · I had left my foobar on WASAPI for the last few weeks and found myself constantly thinking "I remember my stereo sounding better than this..." . A quick switch back to ASIO driver brought things back. Not sure why there is a difference as they both should be …
