Introduced in Update "New Power" as a squadron aircraft, the A-4E Early is an excellent aircraft for pilots who wish to use it as a ground attack or fighter. In the ground attack role, the A-4E Early has an impressive amount of armament options such as regular dumb bombs and rockets, to guided weaponry like the AGM-62A Walleyes.

Introduced as a premium pack in Update "Ground Breaking", the A-4E excels as a very multipurpose fighter. It has the speed and armament to be employed as a fighter but it also has enough ground ordnance to be useful in ground combat.

Oct 20, 2022 · Take the two missiles and harvest your free kills on Vautour and F-84F braindeads. Keep your speed near its maximum at all times and very few planes will be able to catch you at 8.7. In uptiers, you can make supersonics overshoot but the Harrier destroys you. I spaded it. There's... something wrong with me.

By comparison, the A-4 is a compact, straightforward, and lightweight aircraft for the era; its maximum takeoff weight of 24,500 pounds (11,100 kg) was roughly half of the Navy's weight specification. The Skyhawk has a short-span delta wing configuration, a tricycle undercarriage, and is powered by a single turbojet engine.

During the Yom Kippur War, Israel was losing Skyhawks at an astonishing rate, which led to 25+ A-4E Skyhawks being transferred over. The A-4E Early (M) (Israel) Skyhawk was introduced in Update "Winged Lions" and can be seen as a worse version of the premium A-4E.

Sep 4, 2021 · Grind it out in arcade or air realistic by ground striking and then focus on the performance upgrades up until you can now unlock and equip sidewinders etc… and use it most efficiently in any game mode. I played it in Air RB to spade it.

Feb 27, 2024 · It has a speed limiter for the flaps. This means that the flaps will not deploy above a safe speed. Good as you wont have to worry much about breaking your flaps. Bad as you will not be able to do quick flap pops to get better turning.

Accelerates braking by grabbing the brake cable on the deck of the aircraft carrier. The A-4E behaves like the A-4B, with excellent manoeuvrability at speed, aided by the automatic wing slats.

Jul 4, 2022 · A-4s are literally ground attackers primarily, so they can struggle a bit with fighters. You do get AIM-9Bs at some point which are standard for 8.7. Best way to use those are against opponents within 1.25km that may not be paying attention. Just make sure no friendlies are within its line of sight or it might switch them being IR based.
