Twice i have had to get Porsche Assist out to start my Car when the Battery was completely dead, Porsche Assist said it was a problem that they kept reporting to Porsche.

Dec 7, 2023 · Hardwiring the 992 is the right way to go. Easily done yourself, but you can ask your dealer to do that for you and to also supply a good charger (Battery Tender brand of Porsche brand). I would not play with the cigarette lighter for charging.

Jul 1, 2024 · My 992 4GTS (2022) has a LiFePo4 - Lithium Iron Phosphate battery; which is the more desired lithium battery tech due to longer life, discharge rate and safety (stamped on battery & pg 263 of OM). In discussions with CTEK support prior to my purchase, they confirmed that the CTEK Lithium US would be compatible. I returned the Porsche o Matic.
