Oct 19, 2006 · The high unloading rate is standard on the 9760 also, optional on the 9660. The biggest difference is the increase of engine size between the 9760 (9l)and the 9860 (12.5l),hence the bigger fuel tank. Right about the reverser, but I think the final drives are the same. Could be wrong there. Many other little things too.

Dec 13, 2004 · But our 9660 will start to throw some out the back before I lose power in 180 bpa corn and 5 mph. I've also heard that guys with 12 rows and 9760's having problems with the clean grain elevator not being able to handle alot of corn, I mean to the point of wrecking their bottom seive because the corn can't get away fast enough.

Apr 4, 2006 · Why be so specific to a 9660 STSIJ It is well known that there have been many fires on STS machines - thankfully the vast majority have been very small with little to no damage but, there have been enough major fires to alarm not only the owners of the machines but JD as well.

Jul 4, 2008 · We have a 9660 and have only a few acres of wheat to combine. We did our wheat on July 2 and it did a excellent job. Very little FM and no broken kernels, tested 14.3. These are the settings we used. No inserts for the concave. Rotor 1100 rpm Concave 5 Chaffer 17 Sieve 4 Fan 950 Hope this helps.

Jan 12, 2005 · The 9660 is the bean threashingst machine I ever ran in My life.The new 600 series head allow,s You to run 5.0-5.2 MPH at all times in a bean field, but the electrical problems are sure not worth the difference.

Nov 16, 2003 · I have a 9860 with a 35 foot hydroflex bean platform and had exellent results after factory engineers came out and did a computer update that controls the head. Before they cam out, i was only abled to cut about 4 mph because the head was too sensetive and cutting too high. Also, our dealer's mechanic demo'd 2 9660's with 30 foot hydroflex heads.

Oct 18, 2004 · Working for a harvester with 5 9660's and one has had more problems then others this year. However there is one problem that has occurred on the 96 and 97's and that is the reverser pulley on the left side of the feederhouse has worked lose and slid on the shaft.

Aug 17, 2005 · It does the same Excellent Job in Corn than the 9650 or the Maximizer.We Harvest up to 12 tonnes a Hectar with these Combines. Would be no wounder to outperform your American Walkers with the 9660 WTS. Here in Germany is a test arround where the 9660 WTs can handle 34 t troughput an hour easy at max 0.5% to 1.o% losses by a 110bu yeald.
