92 DXR : r/Beretta - Reddit
Jan 9, 2021 · The 92DXR is a one-off run (for now) of Beretta 92Ds on Vertec slides and frames. The 92D is a double-action only Beretta 92, it has no external safety or decocker because it automatically decocks after every shot. 92Ds are mostly in use by police departments that mandate DAO guns.

Finally decided to pick up one of the 92D-XR St. Louis PD contract overrun guns. Before this they carried old school 92D Berettas and before that, model 10's. If I had to guess this is probably the last of the duty DAO pistols riding in duty holsters around the country.

Aug 2, 2023 · My DXR is one of my favorite handguns to shoot. A LTT or Wilson trigger bar with a 12# hammer spring and a steel trigger, it shoots like a well tuned K-frame, but with 18 shots in the magazine. Exactly why I want one. I love DA revolvers. I loved the 92D back in the day. Long pull, but smooth and consistent. Like a good revolver.
