The 90mm Angulon works as well as larger, newer lenses so long as you're careful with movements. I use a step-up ring to bring the filter thread up to 52mm. Stop it all the way down for best results; curvature of field robs sharpness in the corners otherwise.

Feb 13, 2007 · I'm in the market soon for a nice 90mm. It's a length missing from m arsenal. I've been looking at some and what exactly is the difference between angulons and super angulons? I like the angulon from the perspective of weight and speed, but is there a big down side? How are the 90mm caltars? They look remarkably similar to a super angulon.

Schneider Angulon 90mm f6.8- opinions? I saw a cheap one for sale not too long ago, and I was curious if anyone has used this lens, and has any opinion about its relative sharpness, contrast and color accuracy compared to the Super Angulons, both the f8 and the f5.6, not to mention other 90mm's for 4x5.

There are a few 90mm f/6.8 Angulons around for a decent price, what do you all think of this older lens? I've heard that it just covers a 4x5 without movements and that it wasn't super sharp. Apr 21, 2006 · A 90mm Super Angulon WILL cover 5x7 and be very sharp all the way to the corners (and even a bit beyond). The newer, bigger, heavier, more expensive Super Angulon will also have less illumination fall-off.
