MOS Specific tasks that normally occur on drill weekend are "Rail Problems" - HQ will create a scenario to be sent out on Saturday AM and require an assessment (assessments can include motive power, rolling stock, track structure, throughput - how much you can move in how long, stuff of that sort) to be completed by the RPAT's.

Jun 1, 2022 · Yeah - it's pretty decent. Hit up the search feature on here, I did a write up on the MOS a little over a year ago. We follow the GCOR rules for operating (General Code of Operating Rules), and the DoD has accepted that is the "safety bible" for us.

Feb 14, 2018 · It's a reserve only job. I'm an 88U out of Ft. Sheridan, IL. There three locations where there are units. Teams 1 and 2 are in Ft Sheridan, IL. Team 3 is in St. Louis, 4 and 5 are in Chesterfield, Va. After 2015 it was dropped down to 5 units and the former 3 rail MOS were condensed into the new 88U under the name Railway Specialist.

Jan 24, 2021 · Not necessarily MOS but the Reserves has Commands that don’t exist on the active side. The Divisional Readiness Commands are one, they provide support to Reserve centers across the country. When deployed I’ve seen them basically be used as Installation Management for larger FOBs. (Yes, AD has IMCOM units but we generally don’t deploy them).
